The CustomFoamies Story...
Not so long ago…not that far out…Tim May bought, built, flew, and crashed a number of excellent Depron Foam Electric RC Airplanes. His cunning wife, Sherry, thought wow—let him go for it; they’re cheap compared to his 40% airplanes and quiet. Anyway, the neighbors won’t complain when he runs the motor on these (unless he crashes on their roof). But this wasn’t enough for the fine builder and airplane connoisseur. Tim wanted to build his own design.
Like many flyers, Tim loves to invent and add his own improvements. After a couple of less fun, more drudgery efforts, it was decided that the Xacto Blade wasn’t really the keen instrument needed.
What about a CNC machine…too noisy and big…how about a really space efficient and quiet laser. Also, Depron is impossible to see unless the white was painted...or better yet simply get a machine that prints & cuts vinyl.
Imagining the versatility of these two simple pieces of equipment, Tim suddenly had visions of all kinds of airplanes. What if he had well known IMAC RC flyers design planes that would be our “Stock Kits?” What if flyers could select from a variety of schemes & even upload bitmaps! It was perfect, Tim only had one thing left to do—convince Sherry that this would be a great business!
Wouldn’t it be great to let anyone design their own foamie?
